LETTERPRESS PRINTING WORKSHOPS IN THE BLACK DOG PRESS STUDIO

Join us for a day-long workshop of letterpress printing. Classes are typically held on a Saturday from 10:30 to 4:00 in the Black Dog Press studio in the Chautauqua neighborhood of Boulder, Colorado.

In the workshops you’ll learn how to set type and how to create your own layout with metal type and vintage printer’s ornaments. You’ll learn the basics of letterpress printing on a 100 year-old platen press and leave this one-day class with a basic understanding of letterpress printing. Take home a set of personalized note cards that you’ve designed and printed yourself! 

Upcoming classes for the Spring 2025 session will be on

Saturday, February 1 and Saturday, April 12th.

A newly added "Printing with Polymer Plates" workshop will be held on 

Saturday, May 3rd.
